Ravi Palsokar is an associate of Vernalis for over eight years. He is a retired Brigadier of the Indian Army. He graduated from the British Army staff college, and has an MS from the US Army Command and General Staff College. He has undergone extensive training in Leadership, personal effectiveness, Motivation, assessment processes and Competency Mapping in India and abroad.
Ravi’s last assignment was a frontline posting as a Brigadier in Sri Lanka as part of the IPKF – a responsibility he discharged to the admiration of his colleagues. He has held responsibilities for strategy planning and execution at senior levels, managinglogistics & administration, and training middle and senior level officers. He is respected in the Army for his Strategic Perspective. Ravi has published papers in leading defence journals and written columns for newspapers.
Ravi is a seasoned Assessor & Trainer, who has researched Assessment Center processes with Vernalis as well as in the Army. His current areas of interest are the observation process and formats, and assessor development. He has been a co-faculty in Assessor Training Workshops, both in the Army and with Vernalis. In addition to projects, he is also involved with Knowledge Management at Vernalis.
Ravi’s focus, candidness, and analytical skills make him an asset to any team. He has a natural eagerness and adaptability to working in new áreas and situations. He combines this with his ability to envision future requirements and component steps in any project. He has a high commitment and ability to assess people objectively and empathetically.
Ravi headed a residential public school in rural Maharashtra (with 1500 children aged 6 to 18 yrs, in residence) for four years post retirement from the Army. He also worked with Metal Box for three years, responsible for recruitment and training.
